Russell J. Plummer
The family says this past week Russell was supposed to report his unit to pick up a check and find out more about his job duties with the National Guard. Russell had recently returned from basic training and schooling for the National Guard on October 21. While Russell’s family says it is not unusual for Russell to be staying with friends while in the area, they became very worried for him after finding out he did not show up for National Guard duty. There has been no activity on any credit cards or cell phone since November 5. The family says Russell is a frequent cell phone user and it’s unlike him to stay out of contact for this long. The friend who last saw Russell told cops that Russell mentioned taking a trip to Atlanta, Georgia to meet with friends who were also in the service. Police plan to conduct more interviews with family and friends this week, including talking to other members of Russell’s unit with the National Guard. Russell was last seen driving an older yellow Honda civic. Anyone who has information please call the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office at (715) 726-7701. Posted by: Matthew Zarrell |
