According to Le’s brother, he called Suisun City police around 3:30a.m. the Monday following his sister’s disappearance after discovering her car in the Barnes & Noble parking lot. Huong Le says Suisun police checked the scene but were called to another emergency, telling him to lock up Le’s car and take her backpack home.

Moments ago at a news conference, Fairfield and Suisun police, who are now both actively working the investigation, announce they have cleared up a communication gap between the family and investigators. Detectives have not identified anyone who would want to hurt Le and say there is no indication of foul play at this time, but are still exploring the option that something terrible happened to the young nurse.

As 3 women in region remain missing, police try to ID bones

Suspense builds as authorities try to identify remains of a woman found four days ago on a remote hill near Ammon, Idaho.

While police reportedly say the body is not likely that of Susan Powell, 28, a stockbroker who vanished in December, they have not ruled it out.

According to police, a wind turbine repairman found the skeletal remains just hours from Powell’s home in Utah.

If the remains are not Powell’s the mystery becomes even more intense, because they would belong to someone else who may have been the victim of foul play.

More than two years ago, a woman from Idaho Falls, Stephanie Eldredge, vanished, and police are exploring the possibility it could be her.

Twenty-one-year-old Eldredge is a mother of three.

Investigators are also working around the clock to determine if the remains could belong to 20-year-old Amber Hoopes of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was last seen at her grandparents’ home, wishing them a good night.

An autopsy on the body was reportedly finished today and now the DNA test results are eagerly awaited but could take several weeks.

Powell has been missing since last December, when she failed to show up for work at Wells Fargo Financial.

Her husband, Josh Powell, aroused suspicion and widespread media scrutiny with his alibi: he was camping with their two young children.

He was named a person of interest, and he recently moved to the state of Washington.

Nancy Grace Cold Case

Cold case: 'Precious' girl vanished in '77

New York (CNN) - Eva Debruhl, 15, was last seen nearly 33 years ago, cutting the front lawn of her family's home in Rock Hill, South Carolina, with a push mower.

"Eva loved to cut grass, as we both did," said her older sister, Tami Settlemyer, 49. "There was just something about cutting grass that we both enjoyed."

But Debruhl wasn't at the door to greet her sister when she came home from her summer job at the local textile mill late in the afternoon of June 29, 1977.

She had missed lunch with her grandmother, who lived in another house on the family's 9-acre spread. And Debruhl's best friend's family had not seen her, either.

Fear and panic quickly set in as the family realized that Debruhl was nowhere to be found.
Her sister describes Debruhl as "precious." She loved children and singing in the church choir, and she could recite from the Bible. "She was so sweet and innocent," her sister said.

Police searched the property, and Debruhl's family, friends and neighbors joined forces to look for her.

"Soon, days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months turned into years, but we never stopped looking," Settlemyer said.

Debruhl's father quit his job, devoting himself to the search. Her parents sold their house that fall to pay for a private investigator.

"Eva was the baby of our family, and we treated her like that," Settlemyer said. "My parents were just heartbroken."

Haleigh Cummings: Haleigh’s Great-Grandma Fights Back!

The great-grandmother of missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings, Annette Sykes, has had enough of Misty Croslin’s grandmother’s tales. She doesn’t really care what Flora Hollars has to say about her own grandkids, but she does not want her talking about her grandson, Haleigh’s father Ron Cummings.

Hollars has been talking for weeks about how her grandchildren, Misty Croslin, Tommy Croslin and Joe Overstreet, were allegedly all involved in the disappearance of the little Florida girl. She has told the media five different theories about what happened to Haleigh and finally, she implicated the girl’s own father, Ronald Cummings. She claims that Ronald knows more than he is saying and she thinks he was involved to some extent.

Sykes blasted Hollers for her comments. Hollars also claimed that Misty Croslin was still coming down off of drugs when Cummings left his children with her and went to work. Sykes said that is completely false and that she was at the house that night and Croslin was not high. She went on to say that Misty Croslin even made the kids dinner. Sykes says her grandson would have never left his children with Croslin if he thought she was “strung out.”
