Hours later police issued a statewide alert for Longoria, saying he stole a vehicle sometime after 2 A.M. from the Venture Corporation, the company that owns the asphalt plant where Alicia’s body was found badly burned. Police describe Longoria as 5’7” 160lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He’s believed to be driving a 2002 Ford Explorer with a “Venture Corporation” logo on the doors in red lettering. Police ask anyone with information to call the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-KS-CRIME or, if you are in close proximity, dial 911.

Is this the "19" yr old guy that picked up Alicia to go to a party? I am a mother of a 17 year old daughter and would NOT let her leave the house at 11PM to go to a party and exept her home at midnight. What goes on in the minds of some parents?

Is this the man who picked up Alicia from her house? If so did mom allow her the leave with a 36 year old man? Also why does a 14 yr old girl have a midnight curfew?

investigate his past. I bet we can solve some other "missing teen" cases. Where did they move from 3 weeks ago, where has this 36 year old man been since he was 20? He did this without blinking an eye, and then lied outright to Channel 12 reporters. He is done.
I would like to see the death penalty handed down, let's make a stand, and start NOW to put an end to crimes like this one. God bless her family and friends, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

    Nancy,
this is just so disgusting and I know the "LAW" says he must have a just trial however he did not give this poor CHILD a chance and there was certainly nothing just in what he done ..
The world today just makes me sick all of the little children that had no choice to be brought into the world yet suffer at the hands of all the ignorant people .
I do not understand this at all.
i want to thank you for the compassion you show for these children and for the everlasting love you show for your babies you are to be admired .
    sincerly,

This just makes me sick. What happened with the 19 year old?? Was Adam Longoria a registered sex offender??

Still I say if the mother would not have let her daughter AGE 14 go out at 11 pm this would not have happened. When I was 14 I had a 10 pm curfew and there was no way you were going to be out after that time.

I live in Ks. between Wichita and Great Bend. I have been following your show about the Alicia Debolt murder. I tried to call the past couple of nights without luck. We know the body was burned. I have an idea about that. Don't think fire/matches type burn. A worker found her at the asphalt batch plant. What if she was tossed in a batch of that HOT tar-like paving material. It is made there on that site and is a very, very scalding hot liquid type substance. If she was thrown in that hot asphalt/tar, it would burn her body and may explain why her shoe was still on her foot. It would have melted to her foot immediately upon contact. Just an idea I had been thinking about.

So I'm confussed, did they not say in the begining she left with a 19-year old friend? So where is this friend, or where was this friend? Did he hand her off to this creep? And has the 19-year old been questioned? Did the cheerleader know this creep? Did the parents know this 36-year old married man was running around with their young teenager?

Saw on internet where an Adam Longoria was in a Texas prison in 2006.
He was stabbed in jail for being a jailhouse snitch. He snitched on a gang.
Don't know if this is the same guy.

    Dear Nancy,
One of the questions I keep listening for in the Debolt case is, how did she get the man's phone number so she could text him for rides? If he only "met" her once, and her mother warned her not to text him, how did she get the number in the first place?

I looked for a number so I could call into the show with my question, but I could not locate it.
    Thank you,

With thr greatest of respect for the little 14 year old, I can say a couple of things that immidiately come to my mind. There is something very wrong with this picture. How can a mother allow a 14 year old to go to a party at 11.00 p.m. alone?? This woman should be charged wit reckless endangerment of a juvinile.I think this girl was not contrlable and the mother just couldn't bother. It makes me furious to see something like this when every one knows about the world out there. What will it take to get through the dense heads of these dumb parents??

Adam longoria worked for my husbands construction company when he first got to town and they had to fire him because he tried to steal all the tools from the job site. He claimed he was a rodeo champion and met a lady at the expo in topeka and she wanted to marry a real cowboy and he told her he was on e and she moved him to great bend with her. He was a liar the two weeks he worked for my husband. I told my husband to alert great bend about him because he was new to town and next thing later today they arrest the guy.

After the search he went with the police again and they released him and he went to that business at 2 am and then he didn't leave until 6 am., if they know that then why did they lose him. My question is why didn't they go see what he was up to if they knew he was there? Obviously he was cleaning up the place that he killed her in and then stole the vehicle that he prob raped & killed her in and cleaned it up so there wouldn't be any evidence left. I hope that they did a really good job at that scene inspecting and checking trash and vacumns if there were any around. My daughter lives in this town and it really has scared her and everyone there. I hope it wakes up some parents.

I agree that it was entirely suspicious that Longoria stole a vehicle and fled Barton County after being questioned by the GBPD. I'm not saying he's not guilty of the crime....

However, the vehicle was reported stolen at 8:30am. The area that Longoria was picked up was only an hour and a half from Great Bend – at NOON. That's 4 hours to travel an hour and a half. I doubt there was a high speed chase. The vehicle was just located on it's way out of town.

Nancy, I'm glad this story is getting national attention, but please do not embellish the facts... the family, and the community are hurting enough as it is....

What is it with parents these days? My 15 year old daughter is not allowed a midnight curfew nor was I at that age! My thinking is that to many parents want to be their teens friend or the "cool" parent instead of being what they are...PARENTS! My heart goes out to the family and my thoughts and prayers are with them.

I live in the area, and i know you are trying to get ratings, but don't knock the way the coroner did things. Great Bend is a small town, it takes longer to get things done, it has to go to people that have more expertise! Love watching you, but with this case, not so much, hits too much to home.

    Hello,
I grew up in G.B. Kansas and am horrified by this news. However this town has a a very violent history. I remember many murders and suicides happening in Great Bend as a child. I suggest that you report on the meth problem, the fallout from the oil boom, the many teen suicides and murders that have happened in the past decade (i.e. Darren Wornkey) You may find that this murder is on par with the climate of this desolate and violent town.

If he is the guy, what the heck is he thinking! If he had a daughter would he like that to happen to her? Or wouldn't he give a damn. Say that to someone in prison, who is prison for murder, but hates pedifiles.

I live in Great Bend KS and I know he has had sex with another sixteen year old girl one time. She said he kept calling her afterward, and she put his name in her cell phone as the freak. She thought he was so weird that she wouldn't see him again. She has spoken about this and feels bad and she knows he is a bad person. I want to stay anonymous, but the world needs to know how sick this guy really is.

I really just had a question? Have the authorities got the package that this guy mailed to Texas?? It doesn't make sense to mail the items he said he mailed, it would be cheaper to buy new close then mail them home. I think this guy was probably mailing some kind of souvenir he kept from this little girl he murdered. My heart goes out to her family. What a horrible way to lose a child.

I live in Kansas. This is a very sad story. But why are we even thinking about the death penalty? We have it but Kansas is AFRAID to use it. To bad we can't send this case to Texas. Because they have the guts to use the death penalty. If Kansas won't use it then stop wasting tax payers money for a death penalty hearing and the extra expense to keep someone on death row. Put him in general population. I'm sure those people will be able to end this. Shame on Kansas. Grow some balls. Learn to stand up to criminals and show them the same "No Mercy" that they showed their victims.

Great Bend....ofcourse, it was a much simpler time....I just can"t
understand why a little 14year old would be allowed to go out that
late for ahour....was she a wild child that couldn"t be controlled?
How very sad that theperson who finally controlled her, killed her.
I hope that that man isinjail for the rest of his life...Why was he out
Of jail anyway? What on earth isgoing on with our laws and courts.
