Aruban Authorities Confirm Jawbone is not the missing Alabama Teen
After sitting on pins and needles awaiting DNA results on a jawbone initially believed to be female, discovered on the Aruban beach, it’s more disappointing news for Natalee Holloway’s family. Aruban authorities have just confirmed the jawbone is not the missing Alabama teen.
According to Aruba Solicitor-General Taco Stein, a wisdom tooth was the giveaway. Dental records sent from Holloway’s family to the Netherlands Forensic Institute reveal the high school senior had her wisdom teeth removed before taking the ill-fated spring break trip to Aruba.
The piece of jawbone discovered by an American tourist near Aruba’s Phoenix Hotel contained a wisdom tooth. Natalee Holloway’s parents expressed their disappointment in separate statements.
