Body Believed To Be Missing Ohio Woman Found In Her Mother’s Basement

Bellefontaine police have discovered a body believed to be that of a missing Ohio woman hidden in the basement of her mother’s house, CNN affiliate WHIO reported Thursday. A manhunt is now on for the boyfriend of 26-year-old Tiffany Brown’s mother, Samuel Littleton II, who authorities described as a person of interest in the case.

Brown, herself a mother of two, was last seen Friday night leaving her children with a neighbor while she went to run errands. Her mother, Deborah Neeley, told Nancy Grace Tuesday that she reported her missing the following morning.

While re-interviewing Neeley Wednesday after days of investigation, officers noticed an article of clothing that appeared to be blood-stained, according to WHIO. Police then obtained a search warrant and conducted a thorough search of the house, finding a body in the basement. The identity has not yet been confirmed and an autopsy is planned, but police reportedly believe it is Brown.

WHIO reported that the basement was primarily used by Littleton, 37, identified by police as Neeley’s boyfriend. According to WHIO, authorities found a vehicle registered by Neeley that they believed Littleton may have been driving at a farm in Logan County on Wednesday night with the keys still in the ignition.

Neeley said on Nancy Grace Tuesday that Brown’s phone was used early Saturday morning to make a call to Chicago and to send a text message to the father of Brown’s children. It is still unclear who was using her phone at the time or why. A police press release stated that Brown’s car was located at a Bellefontaine apartment complex on Monday.
