Larry Flynt offers Casey Anthony $500,000 to pose in Hustler

Larry Flynt offers Casey Anthony $500,000 to pose in Hustler

(CNN) – If Larry Flynt has his way, Casey Anthony could reintroduce herself - nude - to America on the pages of Hustler magazine, and make well over $500,000 in the process.

The pornography magnate told HLN's "Nancy Grace" show on Thursday night that talks are ongoing that could land Anthony on the pages of his magazine, weeks after a Florida jury acquitted her of murder in her 2-year-old daughter Caylee's death.

Anthony's camp denied the report, dismissing it as "nonsense."

But Flynt insisted he was serious about the offer, which he said would include $500,000 up front plus 10% of all profits. He said any payment that the Orlando woman might receive for interviews with media outlets would be "chicken feed" compared to what she'd receive by appearing in Hustler.

"If they want to get their hands on big money, they've got to go through me," Flynt said.

Anthony's trial in Orange County fixated tens of thousands of people during its seven-week run, many horrified by the girl's death and others drawn in by the family drama. Since her release from jail early on the morning of July 17 - after getting credit for time served for her conviction on four counts of misleading authorities - she has remained out of the public eye.

The Hustler magazine founder admitted that, after a jury cleared the 25-year-old woman on murder charges, he initially did not consider reaching out to her.

Police say Christopher Serna was “covered in blood and shaking uncontrollably” when they responded to a 911 call from his father early Tuesday morning.

According to Collier County Sheriff’s Office documents, officers saw so much blood on the floor of Serna’s apartment that it “appeared to cover the entire living area of the residence.” They also found a deceased woman in the living room with what they described as “obviously non-self-inflicted traumatic injuries.”

The victim was identified as 45-year-old Suzanne Bishop. Portions of an incident report that may have detailed those injuries were redacted when it was released by the sheriff’s office Wednesday, but Serna, 34, has been charged with second-degree murder evincing a depraved mind without premeditation.

Citing the active investigation, sheriff’s office Public Information Officer Michelle Batten declined to provide any additional information Thursday beyond what was contained in the reports, which give no indication of a possible motive for the murder. Relatives of Bishop told the Naples News that they did not know Serna and had no idea why she would have been in his apartment.

Serna’s father called 911 around 4:00 am on Tuesday because his son had asked him to, but Serna refused to allow his parents into his apartment. Dispatch notes indicated that deputies were told they were responding to the Naples Keep Condominiums in connection with a bleeding male who may have been involved in a battery.

When deputies entered the apartment, they saw Serna covered with blood with numerous cuts on his hands. He would not speak when questioned about his condition or what had happened. After deputies discovered Bishop’s body, Serna was taken to a hospital for treatment.

According to an arrest report, Serna did not provide a “coherent statement” in an interview before his attorney arrived and said he did not want his client to answer any more questions.

Suzanne Bishop was a mother of three with a seasonal job at a Naples bakery, the Naples News reported.

“She had the greatest heart in the world,” a friend told the newspaper.

“There are days that will change your life forever and there are days that will forever change you,” one of Bishop’s daughters wrote on Facebook Wednesday. “This is one of those days when both occur. There is no way to express the sadness of losing what provided that life.”

Serna is being held without bond. The second-degree murder charge could carry a sentence of life in prison.

Batten said it is possible the charges Serna is facing could be upgraded as the investigation continues, but “that would be up to the state attorney’s office.”
