A young couple reportedly partied at a bar after allegedly murdering a 19-year-old girl, then argued about how to dispose of her corpse in text and Facebook messages!
An 8-year-old West Virginia girl, Porsche Atwell, is missing and in extreme danger.
Police say Porsche’s father Tracy Atwell, 38, is suspected in the murder of the girl’s mother, Christina Marie Atwell, 33, then kidnapped Porsche on Thursday. Porsche was taken from her paternal grandparent’s home.
Porsche’s grandparents allegedly told police their son bound them with zip ties, left them restrained in their garage then took off with their granddaughter.
“They were able to get loose,” said State Police Dept. Sgt., Melissa Clemmons. ”They contacted 911 yesterday afternoon.”
Atwell allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a handgun from his parents, along with their 1999 Jeep Cherokee that police say he used to drive away with his daughter.
Clemmons said authorities believe Atwell and his daughter remain nearby. They were spotted in the Princeton area Friday between 2:00pm and 3:00pm, about 15 miles from the grandparent’s home.
It wasn’t until Atwell’s parents were able to free themselves from the restraints that authorities discovered Christina Atwell’s body inside her Rock, West Va. home.
“Unfortunately, we don’t know exactly what occurred in the home to lead to that,” Clemmons said. But police say Tracy Atwell is responsible for his wife’s death.
Police estimate she had been dead between two to three days.
Atwell’s parents allegedly told police that their son admitted to killing his wife.
“When he kidnapped and robbed the parents he had told his father that he had killed his wife and where the body was,” Clemmons said.
An autopsy was conducted today in Charleston. Cause of death is not being released at this time. However, police say they do not believe Christina Atwell died of natural causes.
A warrant for Tracy Atwell’s arrest has been issued. He is charged with two counts of kidnapping, child abduction, grand larceny and armed robbery.
Police have not identified a motive for the alleged crimes, but they believe Atwell might have kidnapped his daughter in order to spend time with her before his impending arrest.
Porsche had been living on and off with her grandparents who had been awarded physical custody. Clemmons said she was uncertain whether Porsche’s parents had been living together, but said there had been a history of domestic violence between them.
Clemmons said Tracy Atwell is a known IV drug user and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
“At this point we’re not sure, what frame of mind he’s in due to the fact that he is a suspect in the homicide of his wife,” she said.
Porsche is 4 feet 2 inches tall, she weighs 75 pounds and has blond hair. She was last seen wearing a jacket and a black t-shirt with a gold broken heart design on the front. She is believed to be traveling with her father in a white 1999 Jeep Cherokee with license plate number 6C3202.
